Stanley #289 Type 1 Rebate Plane. The Plane Is Repainted And The Signature Side Has Some Pitting, Particularly Under The Depth Stop. Both Original Nickers And Screws Are Present And More Importantly, The Correct Fence And Fence Arm. Usually These 289’s Are Found With A “78” Fence, Or No Fence At All. Not Shown But It Does Have The Depth Stop And Its Shouldered Thumb Screw. The Early Sr&L Blade Has Some Cleaned Up Corrosion But At Least 1/2In Useable Steel Remaining.
